' WINSTON ' BISS AM/CAN CH ANSONS ON THE ROCKS, CD September 18, 2001 - July 16, 2011

WINSTON my beloved, beautiful gray dog who taught me all about weimaraners has gone to RAINBOW BRIDGE to meet with his sisters, BRIE, LACY, daughter, KONA and MAX, his favorite Chesapeake Bay Retriever, his best friend.

WINSTON

RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet
goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special
friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water
and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor.
Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we
remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy
and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special
to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops
and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body
quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green
grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy
kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and
you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from
your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I love you Winston and will miss you so very much

Right now I'm in a better place,
and though we seem apart,
I'm closer than I ever was...
I'm there inside your heart.

I'm with you when you greet each day
and while the sun shines bright.
I'm there to share the sunsets too...
I'm with you every night.

The rainy days that we endured,
the joyful times we shared--
Just look inside your loving heart,
and you will find me there.

And when that day arrives
that we are no longer are apart,
I'll smile and hold you close to me...
forever in my heart.

If it should be that I grow weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then you must do what must be done,
For this last battle cannot be won.

... You will be sad, I understand.
Don't let your grief then stay your hand.
For this day, more than all the rest,
Your love for me must stand the test.

We've had so many happy years.
What is to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer so;
The time has come -- please let me go.

Take me where my need they'll tend,
And please stay with me till the end.
Hold me firm and speak to me,
Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time that you will see
The kindness that you did for me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.

Please do not grieve -- it must be you
Who had this painful thing to do.
We've been so close, we two, these years;
Don't let your heart hold back its tear

I'll think of you...

When I see the first violet of the spring,
When I walk the trails and see everything
We planted, we shared, and knew,
Then I’ll think of you.

When the dogwood blooms in white array,
And the redbud bursts forth at the dawn of day,
And all the flowers sparkle with dew,
Then I’ll think of you.

When the first snowflakes come floating down,
Covering the earth with their soft white gown,
Making the tracks of the animals so true,
Then I’ll think of you.

Each night when I see the evening star,
Shining in the west, so very far,
I'll say a prayer, one I hope will come true
Someday, somewhere, I'll be with you.
